As part of the manufacturing process, we factory finish your door to a colour of your choice with a 30% sheen. Commonly your chosen colour is used for the exterior of the door, and white for the frame and interior of the door, however it is totally up to you.
Typically we paint our Accoya doors with the specially formulated paint from Teknos. We finish our traditional and some of our cottage style doors in a standard 2-colour 30% sheen finish in specially formulated Teknos paint, which has been technically formulated to withstand exterior use.
Teknos combine preservation technology with protective base coats and a flexible microporus system which then allows us to meet European performance standards for the finish on your new door.

We finish all our Oak doors in Osmo UV Protection Oil. It is oil-based and microporus meaning that it does not crack, flake or peel. It also offers dirt resistance as well as moisture regulation, perfect for exterior use. Osmo UV protection oil is designed to reduce natural fading of the timber.
“Teknos Total Factory Applied Protection (TFAP) systems allow joinery manufacturers to produce fully engineered exterior joinery, with almost unlimited colour choice, in a single integrated finishing process.”
Our finishing process is totally bespoke to each client, so we can paint a contemporary door, lacquer a traditional one, or simply prime and leave them for you to finish yourself.
