As far as timber goes, Accoya is by far the most popular and one of the most durable and stable out there at the moment. It’s grown in New Zealand but is being introduced to the UK, and beleive it or not is a softwood. It undergoes a special acetylisation process preventing the enzymes in the timber from absorbing any moisture which prevents it from warping.
This particular Contemporary door was manufactured from Accoya and then finished in a ‘Light Oak’ stain from Teknos’ ‘Nature’s Eight’ range.
