Other Door Styles
In addition to our front and folding-sliding doors, we offer an extensive range of back doors, patio doors, French windows, shed doors and internal doors. These can be similar to the existing style or unique designs that are sympathetic to your property.
Our timber of choice for external folding-sliding doors, patio doors and French windows would be Accoya or Euro Oak. For interiors doors however, where weather tolerance is not an issue, we would use sapele or tulipwood.
Patio & French Doors
By design both patio doors & French doors typically feature a larger glass to timber ratio. We use a thermally efficient double glazed unit with warm edge spacers which act as a thermal break between the interior and the exterior panes of glass.
We normally manufacture our shed doors as vertical paneled doors with a ledged and braced frame across the back for increased security. These doors can also have a glass unit if you wish.
The designs of our interior doors are similar to our standard set of designs. These doors however would typically be manufactured from 35mm thick timber. We typically use tulipwood rather than accoya or oak because the climate doesn’t need to be taken into account internally.
Similar to the interior doors, the styles that we commonly use for these doors are similar to our cottage doors, however it does vary by property. Our contemporary and traditional styles can also be used as back doors with a little variation.
